| COMMUNITY GIVING Kortum Law Office is committed to giving back to the
community, providing both monetary contributions and
donations of time or services to individuals and
organizations.
In addition to representing many Montanans without
charge (Pro Bono), Kortum Law Office, P.L.L.C., also
contributes to:
Montana Human Rights Network
The Montana Human Rights Network works with citizens
across our state to challenge discrimination, bigotry
and racism. The Montana Human Rights Network originated
in 1990, when local communities across the state came
together to form a coalition that would work toward
fighting racism and discrimination.
Shriners
Shriners Hospitals for Children is a network of 22
pediatric hospitals in the U.S., Canada and Mexico that
provide specialized care for orthopaedic conditions,
burns, spinal cord injuries and cleft lip and palate.
All services are provided at no charge.
Toys for Tots
The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation provides toys to
children who might otherwise be overlooked during the
holidays. Toys for Tots is a 59-year tradition of the
U.S. Marine Corps Reserves. In 2005, Toys for Tots
delivered more than 18.5 million toys to over 7.4
million children.
The ALS Association
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), often referred to
as "Lou Gehrig's disease," is a progressive
neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in
the brain and the spinal cord. Contributions to ALS
support research to find a cure for ALS and provide
much-needed services to patients and their families.
Habitat for Humanity
Through volunteer labor and donations of money and
materials, Habitat builds or rehabilitates houses with
the help of the homeowner families. Habitat houses are
sold to families at no profit, financed with affordable
loans. The homeowners' monthly mortgage payments are
used to build still more Habitat houses. Today, Habitat
for Humanity has built more than 200,000 houses,
sheltering more than 1,000,000 people in more than 3,000
communities worldwide.
Schools
Kortum Law Office, P.L.L.C. is committed to supporting a
variety of school programs, providing monetary
contributions as well as contributions of time to the
local schools. Kortum Law Office, P.L.L.C., also
contributes annually to the drug free task force.
